Bhairavi

its a random thing! jus something to share! i was jus doing my assignments while i again got obsessed with ragam bhairavi!!! i slightly started to hum the one and only song i know in bhairavi....(welll long back i lernt viribhoni varnam....but completely forgot the swarams!! im allergic to varnams! everytime gets punished for forgetting the notes :P) back to the point..so this bhairavi successfully distracted me and i entered into the world of bhairavi...started browsing abt bhairavi..discovered 2 imp facts today 

1. never knew DKP had such a butiful voice!!!! :P

2. bhairavi has 2 dhaivathams..D1(during aarohanam) and D2(during avarohanam)...

the nishaadham is a special buty to the raga..may be thats y it has some special  charm...i don know!! sometimes i wish i knew the technicalities of each raga! i wish i could dismantle..dissect..identify..analyse! but then i also feel it doesnt make me that ignorant innocent music lover but rather a critic...but then i stil feel i shd learn the basics of swara artangements which might make me a better music lover! (greed!!!)

Salutations to Guru Dikshithar...who composed 7 krithis in this raga..

and for swarajathi by Shri shyama shastri..and my fav krithi yaro ivar yaro by shri arunachala kavi...
